On Friday, Federal Court Judge R. Barclay Surrick dismissed Philip Berg's lawsuit challenging Barack Obama's qualification for the Presidency.
The Judge, appointed by Bill Clinton, ruled that Mr. Berg lacked standing to bring the suit. In the 34 page ruling (a PDF file), Judge Surrick found that only the Government has standing to challenge matters of citizenship.
Mr. Berg intends to appeal to the United States Supreme Court. He appeared on a local radio show this morning and indicated that the emergency appeal is being drafted today and will be filed as soon as possible, perhaps even this afternoon.
